Eval Design Studio ("we," "us," "our," "the Studio") built evaldesignstudio.com to be worth trusting with your information. This page explains, plainly, what we collect across this site, why, and what we do (and don't do) with it.
Information you give us directly. If you submit an application, interest or collaboration form (for example, on our Creative Collaborations or Issue Area Networks pages or via a CEC member application form), we collect what you provide (typically identifying information, such as name, email address, demographic information, such as age, gender, ethnicity, and more, such as your organization, and details about your project or interest).
Account information. If you're a client or collaborator with access to our lounge, we store your name, email address, and which lounges you have access to, and we use Google's Firebase service to authenticate your sign-in. Access is granted by invitation; we don't offer open account registration.
Automatically collected usage data. Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, including which pages are visited, general device and browser information, and approximate location at the city level (derived from your IP address, not GPS). This data is aggregated by Google and isn't tied to your name or contact information unless you separately give it to us.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, for any reason.
We share information only with the essential service providers that help us run this site and our work: Google (Analytics, and Firebase for authentication and data storage) and Resend (email delivery). We share only what each provider needs to deliver that service. CEC Member Applications are stored with Google Firebase on our behalf. We don't share your information with data brokers, advertisers, or any other third party for their own purposes.
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. CEC applicant information is deleted 6 to 12 months after the engagement ends. All other information is kept until you ask us to delete it.
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to distinguish you from other visitors across a session. We don't use any other tracking or advertising cookies. You can block or clear cookies through your browser's settings at any time; the site will still work, though Analytics won't be able to recognize repeat visits.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us at the address below. If you'd like to opt out of Google Analytics specifically, Google offers a browser opt-out add-on.
This site is intended for a professional audience and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
If how we handle information changes in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and revise the date at the top.
